MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally towards Latin pop. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. In Medellin in 2017, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. It was atop the Top Latin Albums chart, it ranked no. 8. The following year he joined Ozuna for their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia came out as his collaboration with Noriel in the year 2020. The following year, Dopamina was his follow-up album. In 2021, he also performed an duet with TINI's smash streaming track Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into a family of musicians the mother of his younger brother and father are musicians. According to Turizo, music was an integral aspect of his daily life. When he was young, he taught to perform on the guitar, piano and the ukulele. His initial goal was to be a veterinarian, his brother Julian advised him to go for singing lessons with an Cuban instructor and as a consequence of him discovering his gift as a performer changed the course of his life.
